211 Nevada County is excited to introduce SAL, our new Senior Assistance Line. SAL is a simple, user-friendly entry point for Nevada County residents aged 60 and
over to connect with community programs and services. Seniors can simply dial 2-1-1 to learn about and connect to a wide array of resources, including:
- Disability Services
- Financial Assistance
- Food Programs
- In-home Care
- Legal Assistance
- Support Groups
- And many, many more . . .
By using SAL, seniors can find all of the information they need in one place. Our Consumer Service Representatives can connect seniors directly to service providers and will follow up with callers to ensure they received the information and assistance they requested.
Like all 211 services, SAL is free, confidential, multilingual, and available for anyone who is interested in connecting to community programs and services, whether for themselves or for a loved one. All SAL calls are answered by trained, local Consumer Service Representatives who are well-versed in local resources.
