Join Nevada County Public Health and Nevada Joint Union High School District Adult Ed for a special free screening of the award-winning documentary film Written Off. Chronicling a young man’s struggles with opioid addiction, the film is told through “grippingly honest personal journals” as he works to to conceal how “an innocent prescription for painkillers leads to a 10-year struggle to escape opiates and the stigma that surrounds his addiction.”
Director Molly Hermann and one of the film’s inspirations, Jane Edwards, will be on-hand for the screening and panel discussion.
